Your privileged access
The accessibility policy for visitors with disabilities is one of the priorities of the establishment. There are also reception and mediation systems for people with disabilities. We remain at your disposal for any special request. Your access is priority and without waiting at the reception. Make your visit easier by booking your ticket directly through our online ticket office. When you arrive, you can access the MEM from 4 rue Arago (preferred) or rue Magenta (slope greater than 5%). An outside doorbell allows you to call an agent to open the front door for you if they are closed. For the welcome desk, a PRM counter is dedicated to you on the ground floor. For access to the floors, an elevator is available from the start until the end of the visit (with audible and visual alarm, tactile numbering). A transfer wheelchair is available on request, usable throughout your visit. A system to aid the visit through touch and sound tablets will be offered to you at the start of the visit.
We keep your luggage
We have secure areas for your personal effects.
Drop-off & PMR car-park
A drop-off (2 places) is located just in front of the establishment, and a PMR car-park is 50m from the entrance, Place de l'Ancien Hôtel de Ville.
Adapted toilets
The establishment has a toilet adapted for people with reduced mobility.

Make your visit to the MEM easier with the app
As a beacon approaches in each room, detected in the application through the beacons, the application loads the content associated with the person’s location.
To download the app, scan the QRCode or search for AudioSpot in stores.
For the AudioSpot application to work: activate GPS & Bluetooth tracking.
For the visually impaired :
- Audio menus: list of numbered options compatible with Voice Over on iPhone and Talk Back on Android (automatically detected when the application is launched), also usable “hands-free” with voice control (movement with the keywords “Next” “Previous” “Repeat”, validation of an option by double click or by voice command with “OK” or “Validate”.
- Home menu: list of options allowing you to know how the application works, to change language or profile (except for the blind using Voice Over or Talk Back), to know your GPS address (only outdoors) , access the list of equipped sites sorted by region to download and access the routes, call AudioSpot support to report a problem or an idea for improvement, manage the application parameters (especially for the summary & voice control).
For people with reduced mobility :
- Accessible routes & toilets, PRM parking spaces nearby, map of museum spaces and infrastructure.
